In line with its mission to foster local development, Voltalia, through the Karavasta Solar project, has supported road improvement works on local road sections serving nearby villages.
In May 2023, improvement works were carried out on the road segment between Mbrostar and Libofshë, consisting of asphalt repairs. These works helped address damaged sections of the road and improve travel conditions for local residents and daily road users.
In October 2024, Voltalia completed the re-asphalting of a 3.2 km road segment connecting Libofshë village with Agim village. The works included the application of a new wearing course and were fully funded by Karavasta Solar. The intervention was implemented through a sub-contractor, in coordination with the Municipality of Fier and local authorities.
Together, these interventions have contributed to safer and more comfortable movement for local communities. The improved road sections directly benefit residents of Pedovë, Rreth-Libofshë, Agim, Libofshë, Ndërnënas and Hasturkas.
Alongside the production of renewable energy through the Karavasta Solar project, Voltalia remains committed to supporting practical improvements that address the needs of communities near the project area, in alignment with its mission – to improve the global environment while fostering local development.
